Spring Programme 2019

On-going Project (Something new for 2019)

Throughout the year we will be inviting all members to work on an on-going project to be led by Margaret McDonagh.  There will be 15 minutes at the end of each session for Maggie to introduce her ideas, receive and give updates, co-ordinate activities, etc..  In-brief the aim is to produce a society mural, journal, poster display inspired by the current interest in the Lido.  The brief is quite open and includes the Art Deco style, water (including The Splash by David Hockney), the promenade and gardens and anything related.  One thought is that it would be great to have the mural available for display at the Summer Exhibition.

17th January

Portrait Painting – Following-on from our “portrait in oils” with Sally Bamber on 18th October 2018 Mike, who sat for her presentation, will be back for members to paint or draw.  If you were at Sally’s wonderful session you can practice the techniques presented or work in your own way.  If you Could not make it to the demonstration you can freestyle or chat with others that did attend to hear how she inspired members on the day.  Sally used oils but you can use your medium of choice and her painting will be on-view as a reminder and inspiration.  Paint or draw the choice is yours.

Members are always welcome to come along and do their own thing!
